State Of the Uniion | The Recreational Writer

Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines tolerance, in part, as “sympathy or indulgence for beliefs or practices differing from or conflicting with one’s own” and “the act of allowing something.” In today’s digital world, one tends to hear “tolerance” thrown around. And typically, it is a liberal that is suggesting that all people should be tolerant. Everyone should show tolerance. And unfortunately, it is often Conservatives that are accused of intolerance. Day in, and day out. All conservatives, lumped into one “basket of deplorables.” It is true that on the fringe far right (although I would not necessarily even consider them on the right) you have nazi-following disillusioned groups. In no way shape or form should there be “tolerance” for them. Especially when they pursue violence.

NFL Owners’ Employees Kneel During The National Anthem – What It Means |The Recreational Writer | RecreationalWriter.com

The Huffington Post Thinks That The Baby Boomers Are The Worst Generation Of Americans | The Recreational Writer | RecreationalWriter.com

As another National Football League (NFL) season nears a beginning, so again begins the employee’s of NFL Team Owner’s sideline theatrics. Kneeling during the National Anthem, disrespecting the United States Military, both active duty, retired, and those that gave the ultimate sacrifice, and those that risk their lives domestically and abroad every day for our freedom, under the guise of “social injustice.” Yes, it is a guise. It is a farce. Created by a second (or third, forth, fifth) rate, benched football player to be able to be on T.V. again. Feeling oppressed in his multi-million dollar California mansion, along with the rest that felt the need to express their “grievances” at the expense of good, brave men and women. Make no mistake, every single player, owner and NFL employee up to the “commissioner” that participates and or condones the behavior without consequence, is a complete and udder coward. In every sense of the word.

Fake News Does Exist, and is Frighteningly More Common Than You Think | The Recreational Writer | RecreationalWriter.com

Fake News Does Exist, and is Frighteningly More Common Than You Think | The Recreational Writer | RecreationalWriter.com

There is no doubt that is recent days, weeks, months and even a year or more, you have been hammered with the term “fake news.” Conservatives use the term to describe pretty much anything “main stream media.” Liberals use it to deem conservatives as “disillusioned.” Interestingly, there is this article talking to an extent about it. Newsweek proclaimed that “right-wingers” shared the most “fake news.” (to note, they offered no evidence for, or contrary to that aside from “an Oxford study.”) Zach Beauchamp pens an interesting article of Vox.com however, telling of the liberal buy-in to “fake news.” Regardless of the spectrum that you have heard it thrown around, in this day and age of technology, and getting the latest story out before anyone else (in the case of the media) or being the first to say/think it (in the case of social medial such as Twitter and Facebook), the reality is, it does exists, and it is frighteningly more common than you think.

Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Banning & Shadowbanning – Why It Matters | The Recreational Writer | RecreationalWriter.com

Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Banning & Shadowbanning - Why It Matters | The Recreational Writer | RecreationalWriter.com

Probably the most recognizable stories to come out of this week is the removal of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ “InfoWars” outlets on Facebook, Apple and YouTube. Twitter has said that his Twitter account would remain, at least for now. CNN supposedly did an “investigative” report on Alex Jones’ InfoWars posts on twitter, and of those posts “investigated” by CNN, according to a spokesperson for Twitter, “seven were found to have violated Twitter’s rules.” CNN further states, “CNN’s investigation found that InfoWars’ and Jones’ Twitter accounts had published content that degraded groups of people on the basis of their religion and gender identity, engaged in the harassment of individuals, glorified violence, and promoted conspiracy theories about the Sandy Hook and Parkland shootings.

CNN: “Anderson Cooper: That’s the response of a 12-year-old” | The Recreational Writer | RecreationalWriter.com

Panama City Beach Florida Sunset | RecreationalWriter.com

I decided today that I would take a look at CNN.com. I came across a video in which Anderson Cooper was “interviewing” a guest (an American conservative man, Mr. Paris Dennard) about the “tweet” that was made about Don Lemon and Lebron James. At one point in the video, shortly after matter-of-factly-declaring that the response on “Twitter” was, “That’s the response of a 12-year-old”, Cooper not-so-under-his-breath and very condescendingly tells Mr. Dennard, that “apparently he can’t break publicly from him, or you will get in trouble I guess …” Seriously CNN? You pretend, and keep peddling that you are not biased? That you employ non-biased journalists? This video completey and utterly destroys that narrative. Watch the video.
